Lioness Recruitment believe it takes specialist experience to support specialist careers. A leading not-for-profit business are looking for a strong technical lead to join their team to build and implement robust IT security procedures for the business. This is a min. 6 months contract, with hybrid working and one day per week required in Head Office.

Your main responsibility will be to ensure that the organisation maintains strong security protocol in line with security legislation & trends. You will be required to review existing security tools and procedure and further develop and enhance these to ensure prevention of security threats. You will be required to design and implement new security procedures across both software and infrastructure services. You will implement security policies and procedures and ensure these are robustly documented. This role will be hands-on and will require strong infrastructure experience from a support and implementation perspective across Microsoft systems.

Essential Skills:

• Experience working in a similar IT security focussed role
• Experience implementing ICT security best standard practices across numerous business areas
• Solid hands-on infrastructure knowledge including Office365, Windows Server, VMware, firewalls, Exchange, DNS, MDM, MECM/SCCM etc
• Scripting languages such as Perl, Bash, VBA, PowerShell, R etc
• Building documentation and technical diagrams
• GDPR knowledge
• An IT security specific certification such as CISSP, CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, CISM, Security+ would be highly advantageous for this role but is not essential
