An evolving public sector enterprise are seeking a permanent Azure SQL Developer to support pushing the data strategy forward. This role offers hybrid working, with 1 – 2 days per week working from offices based in Kent required.

Your daily responsibilities will be to build database objects that meet the business requirements. You will develop and maintain data models, optimise T-SQL/Azure SQL queries, apply indexes to the data warehouse to support data retrieval and performance and build data models based on data requirements and business processes. You will also maintain database systems, provide data technical expertise, support database and process design and administer database security.

Essential experience:

• Demonstrable experience of working as an Azure SQL Developer/ Lead Analyst or similar role within a commercial environment
• Writing SQL code/scripting for data extraction
• T-SQL/Azure SQL
• SSIS & Azure Data Factory Pipelines
• Windows Server Virtual Machines
• SQL Server 2012+ administration
• Tuning of database objects in an OLAP environment
• Data workflows in Microsoft 365/Power Platform
